Airline Inventory Control
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors and updates the inventory system for all incoming receipts from vendors and repair facilities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Expedites and monitors the status of all parts sent to vendors for repair to ensure that maintenance requirements are fulfilled.
- Reports any discrepancies to the DOM or Receiving Inspector, as appropriate, for final determination.
- Directly responsible to the DOM for the custody, handling, and shipping of aircraft parts and materials.
- Coordinate with DOM to ensure that all material requirements are reviewed and available for maintenance
- Maintain and control the shelf life program per company manuals.
- Maintain proper storage and control of Seaborne's calibrated tools per company manuals
- Assist DOM in planning and performing the annual physical inventory
- Responsible for all rotable parts that are sent to outside vendors including the accomplishment of the purchase order, handling, shipping, tracking, and receiving of these items
- Perform other duties as required by DOM
- Unpack shipments and verify parts numbers, serial numbers, and quantities for any type of discrepancy.
- Process rotable and repairable parts in accordance with applicable procedures
- Clearly mark purchase order number on all expendables for serviceability tracking
- Maintain security access of receiving room only to authorized personnel
Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of Computer data input
- Inventory management experience desired, not required
