13 weeks | Days | 8-hour shift | 40 hours guaranteed weekly

- Performs diagnostic imaging using ARDMS protocols for the following exams: OB/GYN; abdomen; pelvic and endovaginal; small parts including breast, thyroid, and scrotum; vascular, including DVT, arterial legs, and carotids.
- Receives patients, explains procedures, and selects appropriate equipment to ensure good patient care.
- Office Duties. Performs office jobs in a small department including, but not limited to: answering phones, scheduling patients' exams, printing reports, retrieving charts, researching problems, ordering supplies, copying and mailing exams to various facilities, and helping providers.
- Collaborates with staff to create a positive working environment.
- Documentation of QA and QC for imaging modalities.
Documents: high-level disinfection, and other information per Joint Commission regulations.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
Experience:
- Must have at least 1-year Ultrasound experience
- Echocardiography is a plus.
Education:
- Must have an Associate degree with certification in diagnostic sonography.
- Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program preferred
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration:
- Must have ARDMS(AB) & ARDMS(OB)
- ARDMS or registration eligible
- BLS/BCLS is required
EMR System: Cerner experience preferred
Shift: ***Primary Days, Some shared call/discussed at interview***
COVID Requirements: Must have proof of FLU and COVID-19 vaccinations(including boosters). No exemptions.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of the anatomy and physiology used in standard ultrasound.
- Skilled at independently performing ultrasound.
- Skilled in oral and written communication.
- Skilled in organizing and cleaning work areas and maintaining equipment in serviceable condition.
- Able to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with radiologists, providers, patients, computer technologists, and SEARHC staff.
