Job Description
Were looking for an onsite full-time, staff Production Operator to join our American Ordnance team located in Middletown, IA.
As the Production Operator, heres the work youll do:
- Assemble inert and explosive components to rounds or subassemblies, then gauge, weigh or otherwise examine rounds or production items to insure compliance with specifications.
- Physically push/pull/lift loaded carts or rounds and/or inert and explosive components from storage areas to work stations or between workstations.
- Visually distinguish imperfection of materials following established quality procedures. Maintain and segregate non-conforming products.
- Stencils and packs completed items, then loads them into railroad cars or truck trailers. Maintains records of activity as required.
- Maintains familiarity with, observes and trains others in safety, health, and environmental requirements
- Assures that he/she understands the necessity to continuously improve processes and systems under their control and to meet customer needs, both internally and externally.
Skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Exhibit sufficient communication skills and judgment to interact with a broad range of customers throughout the organization.
- Work ethically and with integrity to uphold the organizational values
- Ability to manage their paid time off and be ready for work at the start of each shift
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting with guidance
Qualifications
- Required Education: High School Diploma or General Education Certification (GED).
- Experience: 6 months of related experience preferred.
- Minimum Bronze Level of the National Career Readiness Certification required.
- Neurological, respiratory, or other medical testing may be required.
- Forklift license may be required.
- Must pass and maintain training certifications, as required.
- Great attitude and team player.
- Successful completion of background screening process.
