The ideal candidate will be responsible for cultivating strong relationships with key customers, including end users, producers, OEMs, engineering firms, and repair facilities within the steel and aluminum industries. This role requires a strategic approach to developing new business, expanding current accounts, and achieving annual sales goals.
Job Title: Regional Sales Manager Metals (South Territory)
Salary: 60k - 70k
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth and meet or exceed revenue targets by managing the South Territory, covering Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee.
- Build, maintain, and deepen long-term relationships with clients, including steel and aluminum producers, OEMs, engineering firms, and repair facilities.
- Frequently visit customers to foster strong partnerships and ensure a thorough understanding of their needs, while providing tailored solutions.
- Execute strategic sales plans aligned with company goals to cultivate new customers and develop existing ones.
- Lead contract negotiations, handle Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and close deals by presenting effective and competitive proposals.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, revenue forecasts, and reports to senior management, ensuring accuracy and alignment with overall business objectives.
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to provide innovative solutions and maintain a competitive edge.
- Travel extensively (50-65%) within the assigned territory to meet customers, attend industry events, and represent the company at conferences and seminars.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or relevant work experience within the steel or aluminum industry. An advanced business degree is a plus.
- 5 10 years of proven sales experience within the process equipment industry, preferably focused on the metals sector (steel/aluminum).
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and managing complex customer relationships.
- Ability to read and interpret general arrangement drawings and communicate technical information to clients.
- Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage at all levels of a customer's organization.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems.
- Self-directed, trustworthy, and able to manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet both daily and long-term goals.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability under changing conditions.

- Steel Industry: Continuous Casting, Descale, Hot and Cold Rolling, Galvanizing and Pickle Lines, Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), Blast Furnace, Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF).
