Summary:

The Amenity and Engagement Manager (AEM) leads the community building efforts, resulting in stakeholder engagement that is meaningful, authentic and collaborative. By bringing residents, neighbors, community members and others together to witness best in class customer service as well as participate in dynamic community life experiences, the AEM creates a sense of belonging that sets Jasper apart from any other place to live.


Working closely with the Executive Director, the AEM is responsible for establishing unique opportunities for residents and future residents to engage and connect- creating valuable memories reflective of the Jasper lifestyle. Furthermore, this team member assists in the design and delivery of a comprehensive community event strategy, including establishment of traditions and signature events. The AEM works collaboratively with communications’ team members to deliver thoughtful, strategic and timely messaging aimed at informing and engaging residents in the life of their community as well as other campaigns and strategies to promote community lifestyle.


The AEM will oversee the execution of all programming that occurs within the amenity, while involving appropriate community stakeholders in the process and maintaining the integrity of the facility to ensure it continues to be a crown jewel of community gathering and a prominent fixture in the homeowner decision making process. The Amenity and Engagement Manager demonstrates and cultivates an engaged and inspired leadership community by leading a team of part-time ambassadors and supporting the execution of volunteer development and resident leadership opportunities. The AEM is also responsible for cultivating and maintaining long-term relationships and partnerships that grow the quality of opportunities for residents to become more involved in their community and for partners to have unique opportunities to contribute to community life, generating mutually beneficial results.


Scope

  • Manage a team of part-time ambassadors who maintain the integrity of J Club and provide support for Jasper residents and general public as applicable.
  • Support the ongoing training and development efforts of the ambassador team and assist with onboarding new hires.
  • Lead website and residency verification process to ensure a seamless experience for residents and an effective warm welcome process with committee members.
  • Lead activation/deactivation and suspension process of amenity access cards; ensuring resident review and understanding of the access agreement.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for facility use inquiries; manage special requests to accommodate guests that exceed the maximum number allowed.
  • Develop and execute events, community programs and other activities- tracking expenses and revenue as well as attendance to support our commitment to innovative community-building initiatives and to further market J Club to the community at large.
  • Build rapport and establish relationships with community stakeholders including residents, vendors/service providers, local businesses and community groups.
  • Oversee amenity use; maximizing/activating for community gatherings and leveraging capacity to promote community awareness and overall presence.
  • Assist in monitoring J Club’s exterior spaces, including facility grounds, pool and adjacent areas, and collaborate with Community Operations Manager to remedy outstanding issues.
  • Ensure that all equipment, games and related items are in good repair and operating order; replace and/or repair as necessary.
  • Manage event, club and office supply inventory; initiate orders as appropriate; track receipts and maintain accurate records for all purchases; ensure all purchases are in line with approved budgets.
  • Coordinate with communications team members on the promotion, set-up and management of registration process for Community Life events and activities; track registration trends and report numbers to appropriate Team members to ensure proper planning.
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service that models active- listening, education and integrity
  • Own and maintain accountability to the delivery and oversight of J Club rules by members

Experience | Minimum Qualifications

  • College degree in relevant field; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three years of management-level experience required.
  • Three to five years of progressive experience in hospitality, event management, recreation management, non-profit management or related field with transferrable skills required.
  • Experience working in a master-planned community setting highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of software including Microsoft Office Suite, social media channels (Facebook, lnstagram, Twitter), WordPress and others; familiarity with HTML, Adobe design suite and photo editing software desirable.


Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • The Amenity and Engagement Manager will work 40 hours or less per week and should expect to cover some weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • The Amenity and Engagement Manager must provide their own transportation for off-site programs, picking up necessary
  • supplies, etc.; must have a current drivers’ license and an acceptable driving record.
  • The Amenity and Engagement Manager must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and be on feet for extended periods.
