Cloud Engineer Salary: $20-30 per hour Location: Albany, USA Company: American Express Educational Requirement: Graduate Responsibilities Build versatile, secure, and accessible cloud-based services within the cross-over PaaS environment Develop specialized solutions to enhance the American Express cloud platform, focusing on automation for cloud services deployment Collaborate with API design, UI development, quality, and product teams to deliver reliable services Research and implement new technologies and libraries for efficient product development Build API/middleware solutions that integrate with NSQL, stages, and component frameworks Write clean code following best practices: API design, code consistency, refactoring, unit testing, code review Commit to producing working code and a desire to learn new technologies Required Skills Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Confidential Cloud) Experience developing REST APIs using Go and Java Experience with cloud design, CI/CD, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, etc. Strong partnership and interpersonal skills Experience with NSQL data sets Knowledge of agile application development strategies and overall QE processes Preferred Skills Four-year degree in software engineering or related field Knowledge of nimble (agile) application development techniques Understanding of overall QE processes Compensation The above salary range represents the base compensation for this role.
