Ammonia Service Technician Apply
We are seeking skilled Ammonia Service Technicians to join our team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial refrigeration equipment, including chillers, CO2 ventilation systems, boilers, valves, and controls.
- Perform system and equipment pump downs and evacuations.
- Execute system calibrations and start-ups, including compressor alignment.
- Safely handle ammonia refrigeration systems and Halo-carbon (Freon) systems.
- Participate in Fit Tests and wear full-face respirators as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications accurately.
- Travel as required to job sites.
- Contribute to a team atmosphere by modeling conflict resolution, promoting diversity, and demonstrating ethical practices.
- Make customer-focused decisions while adhering to organizational standards.
- Communicate findings from service calls to customers and outline required corrective actions.
- Collaborate with service coordinators on work order progress, scheduling, customer needs, materials, and quotes.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights.
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience as an operator or service technician with industrial refrigeration systems.
- EPA 608 Universal certification required.
- RETA CIRO certification is a plus.
- Graduation from a refrigeration trade school is a plus.
Driving Requirements:
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a clear DMV record (no accidents, incidents, or DUIs in the past 5 years).
- Participate in company-sponsored driver safety programs.
