JOB TITLE:
AMR Service Technician– Duncan, SC
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Seeking a motivated and skilled AMR Service Technician to support the service and
diagnostics of its autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) at sites near Piedmont, South
Carolina.
This role reports directly to the Deployment Engineer Manager. The technician will be
responsible for ensuring AMR uptime, diagnosing issues, and maintaining performance. Forklift
technician experience is a plus but not required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine service, diagnostics, and maintenance on AMRs to ensure uptime and performance.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues using diagnostic tools and logs.
- Document all service activities clearly, including diagnostics, resolutions, and parts usage.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to resolve issues in a timely, professional manner.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment at customer sites.
- Support continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to service procedures.
- Respond promptly to service calls during assigned shifts.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; no college degree needed.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial equipment service or maintenance preferred.
- Forklift technician background strongly preferred.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Basic computer literacy to perform diagnostics and complete service reporting.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills focused on excellent customer service.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience servicing AMRs, AGVs, or automated material handling systems.
- Familiarity with industrial networking or software diagnostic tools.
- Forklift maintenance training or certification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift as needed.
- Comfortable working in warehouse and industrial environments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, kneeling)
- Willingness to travel locally for site support as required
