As a Credit Risk Analyst within the Credit Risk Management team, you will be required to wear multiple hats. You must have a strong blend of analytical and/or statistics skills, presentation skills, project management, and ability to develop strong partnership/relationships with key business partners. You will be identifying new credit segmentation opportunities using statistical methods, contributing to teams making enhancements to our credit decision process and policies, developing collections strategies, and partnering with other functional teams in T-Mobile in the development of new credit strategies to manage risk. You must be able to manipulate large amounts of data, provide findings on data context and quality, extract key insights from the data, and then be able to take it up a notch and clearly and concisely communicate actionable recommendations based upon your insights. In many cases, you will participate in projects in various stages playing the role of credit data expert, analytic methodology specialist and primary statistics analyst.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply statistical segmentation techniques to identify new opportunities
  • Extract, load and transform data from several sources necessary for statistical, reporting and ad-hoc analysis
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of credit polices to meet given objectives
  • Develop predictive financial and analytical models using the appropriate statistical methodologies, including trend and regression analysis
  • Participate and perform the analysis of new data and statistical products by external vendors
  • Work with credit bureau and alternative credit data
  • Deliver work output with full awareness and adherence to project timelines or agreed upon deadlines

Education:

  • BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or related degree required
  • Intermediate or higher proficiency in SAS or other statistical/analytical programming languages required
  • Superior computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint required
  • Superior communication (spoken and written), organization and presentation skills required
  • Superior time management skills and awareness of project management methods required
  • 3+ years of quantitative analytic modeling experience, credit risk management or comparable process management experience preferred
  • Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline preferred
  • Basic proficiency in SQL, C++, Python, R or other statistical software packages preferred.
  • Prior consumer risk management experience a plus
  • Wireless / Telecom experience a plus

Colorado Pay Range: $92,200.00 - $124,700.00

o The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state
listed. The successful candidates actual pay will be based on various factors, such aswork
location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below
this range.
o At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or
periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are
eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which
is set at a percentage of the employees eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain
positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or
team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or
quarterly sales incentives. And since we are ALL owners, EVERY employee at T-Mobile is
