HII - Mission Technologies is currently seeking an Intermediate-level Analytic Engineer to work out of Fairfax, VA in support of the DoD/DoW Advana War Data Platform designed to aggregate operational, intelligence, logistics, and sensor data from multiple domains, enable Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) by providing a common data fabric, and support AI/ML applications for predictive analytics, targeting, and mission planning. This position is contingent on contract award. Responsibilities Develop and operate analytic data processing capabilities supporting the War Data Platform (WDP) Core Integration enterprise across Unclassified and NIPR, Secret and SIPR, and Top Secret and JWICS enclaves. Build analytic transformations, query models, and feature-ready datasets using Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL, and Apache Airflow to enable mission analytics for Combatant Commands, Joint Staff elements, and interagency partners. Implement structured ingestion and refinement workflows aligned to medallion-architecture bronze, silver, and gold zones, incorporating metadata tagging, lineage tracking, and schema harmonization to strengthen reuse and analytic readiness. Apply data quality monitoring techniques including drift detection, rule-based validation, profiling engines, and anomaly scoring to elevate accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across lake environments. Configure encryption mechanisms, IAM controls, and audit policies to maintain data integrity under Department of Defense cybersecurity directives. Provide Tier‑2 analytic support by diagnosing data defects, resolving tooling inconsistencies, triaging pipeline behavior, and producing root‑cause analysis reports that guide engineering remediation. Collaborate with data engineering, data tooling, platform operations, and governance teams to align analytic datasets with enterprise reference architectures and catalog requirements. Develop dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Databricks SQL, and Grafana to present availability metrics, throughput indicators, drift scores, latency patterns, and enrichment performance. Produce documentation covering analytic workflows, model‑ready tables, transformation logic, and operational dependencies to support maintainability, onboarding, and analytic mission expansion across all War Data Platform (WDP) Core Integration enclaves. Requirements 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years’ experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. Familiarity with creating dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Databricks SQL and/or Grafana and feature-ready datasets using Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL, and/or Apache Airflow. Must be Top Secret/SCI eligible. U.S. Citizenship. Preferred Requirements Familiarity with Advana architecture, Palantir Foundry, or similar data integration platforms. Experience with data governance frameworks and metadata management. Agile/SAFe delivery experience in secure environments.
