Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join our team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Kotlin-based Android development, a deep understanding of the mobile application lifecycle, and experience integrating secure APIs and cloud-based services.You will work within an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain high-quality mobile applications. The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a focus on secure and scalable mobile solutions, particularly in a regulated environment such as financial services.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin (and Java where required)Work with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Jetpack componentsManage the full mobile development lifecycle, from design to deploymentIntegrate and secure RESTful APIs and external SDKsImplement secure coding practices and unit testingCollaborate with backend teams to integrate cloud-based servicesParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectivesBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deploymentsEnsure application performance, scalability, and securityRequired Skills & Experience8–10 years of Android development experienceStrong expertise in Kotlin (Java as needed)Proficiency with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Jetpack componentsDeep understanding of the mobile application development lifecycleExperience with:Design patternsThreadingFile I/OMemory managementMobile security practicesHands-on experience integrating RESTful APIs and external SDKsExperience working with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applicationsKnowledge of secure coding best practices and unit testingCloud & Platform ExperienceFamiliarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including:Azure App ServicesAzure FunctionsAzure Logic AppsAzure StorageMonitoring tools
