Apparel Product Developer Apply
The position available is for the role of Apparel Product Developer. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to manage the development process from concept through production hand-off, in accordance with end-user needs, company standards for quality, consistency & functionality; while meeting price, minimums, sourcing strategies and exceeding customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in high-performance apparel & experience managing multiple product categories.
This position is onsite.
Responsibilities:
Manage the bill of materials, color, trim validation sheets, and labeling in the technical specification packages.
Drive multiple project timelines and update internal team regularly on the status throughout the design and development process.
Collaborates with Design & Technical Design to facilitate the development of style, fabric and trim development.
Develop materials and trims in accordance with company and product specific standards, color standards, and timeline goals.
Understands product costing and how to develop a product to a target cost.
Responsible for accurate record keeping and tracking of product components and costs, and communicating the targets and cost to internal/external teams to meet target timelines.
Monitor & track all samples, trims, fabric, print, and color development approvals to/from Suppliers.
Manage the 3rd party test results of products to ensure certifications & company standards are maintained and current.
Continually looking for innovative and technologically advanced products, materials, trims, and colors that meet the needs of the mission statement, drive sales, and meet or exceed the company's overall strategy and goals.
Participate in product meetings to coordinate actions and mitigate project risks with additional associates and business partners as needed
Overseas and domestic travel may be required to meet with factories, material vendors, end users and industry tradeshows.

Education:
Degree from an accredited University and/or combination of education and apparel product development experience
Required Experience & Skills:
Minimum 5 years' experience executing all levels of development process with high-level of understanding of the apparel development process in a manufacturing environment or factory
Experience effectively managing multiple product categories from concept to production within calendar deadlines
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office & Adobe Suite
Experience with a PLM system preferred
Must have an average or above rating on the Munsell Farnsworth 100 Hue Color Discrimination Test. Test to be administered during interview process
Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment interacting with cross functional partners on and off site.
