Active participation in shaping a livable present and future for all Kiel residents What to do As an application and infrastructure manager, you will ensure the stable and sustainable IT operations of the city administration and actively develop our IT infrastructure. You will work at the interface between networks, data centers, basic IT service Ensuring the operation, maintenance, and further development of the municipal firewall and network infrastructure as well as the communication networks Or the operation, monitoring, and further development of the data center infrastructure (servers, storage, databases), including cloud and hybrid solutions or operating central IT basic services and supporting application management using modern DevOps technologies as well as concept development, security and data protection projects, and documentation of operating and security processes in cooperation with internal and external partners, and supporting digitization and innovation projects What you bring to the table Education. Completed university degre e with a standard period of study of at least 6 semesters (bachelor's or FH diploma), for example in - Computer science - Business informatics - Mathematics - Physics - Communications engineering • Experience. At least 3 years of relevant professional experience based on the required education and training is required. • Expertise. In-depth knowledge (depending on specialization) is required in the following areas - Knowledge of managing a data center, firewall, and network infrastructure - Comprehensive knowledge of application management or manufacturer certification - Knowledge of cloud infrastructures and integration management, and the definition and implementation of IT security measures in the field of IT architecture (according to BSI basic protection) - Extensive knowledge of modern architectural approaches - Experience in the IT department of municipal employers of a similar size. Your knowledge must be demonstrated by certificates, further training, references, or manufacturer certifications. • Driver's license. Class B driver's license.
