This role is responsible for transforming customer ideas, requirements, and challenges into manufacturable solutions—ensuring a seamless transition from concept to production.

The ideal candidate combines strong engineering fundamentals with excellent communication skills, customer empathy, and a deep understanding of manufacturability in the PCB, FPC, rigidflex and electronics assembly domains.

Key Responsibilities

1. Understand Customer Requirements

  • Engage with customers to gather technical specifications, performance requirements, and application constraints.
  • Participate in technical discovery meetings and design reviews.
  • Translate functional needs into clear engineering inputs and documentation.

2. Translate Requirements Into Robust, Scalable Designs

  • Evaluate customer designs for manufacturability (DFM) and propose improvements.
  • Work with internal engineering teams to create optimized stack-ups, materials, and process flows.
  • Support rapid prototyping and ensure alignment between design intent and manufacturability.

3. Support Manufacturing Across Our Global Network

  • Collaborate with PICA’s facilities in the U.S., Malaysia, and other global partners to ensure smooth production launches.
  • Review production feedback, quality data, and test results to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical support during pilot runs, qualification builds, and scale-up phases.
  • Troubleshoot issues and facilitate root-cause analysis when needed.

4. Customer & Sales Team Support

  • Act as a technical expert to assist the Business Development team in early-stage opportunity qualification.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, capability overviews, and training materials.
  • Provide clear communication to customers throughout the design and manufacturing cycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Experience in PCB, FPC, PTF (printed electronics), electronics assembly.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Prior experience interacting directly with customers in a technical role.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across engineering, sales, quality, and operations teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset with customer-first orientation.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM tools.
