Application Engineer: Product development within Chiyoda requires good synergy between new techniques such as coating and printing technologies. The development, launch and ongoing management of the product portfolio requires technically sound and knowledge-based support. To this end, the Application Engineer has the following responsibilities: Technical introduction of new products to customersManaging and reporting production trials at customer sites Identifying and resolving technical issues with decorative products, both internally and at customer sites, based on an action planMonitoring new products and technologies to ensure effective knowledge transferProviding technical support to Sales and Production departments, and collaborating within R&D on ongoing projectsValidation/implementation, upscaling and troubleshooting during the product development process Drafting and updating technical documentation Providing technical customer service for the assigned product/customer portfolioParticipating in and organising technical presentations and training for internal teams and customers You: Hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry or a related field. Have minimum 5 years industrial experience Communicate easily with both scientists and industrial stakeholdersAre interested in emerging technologies and to develop technical knowledgeHave the ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and translate them into customer requirementsHave strong analytical and solution-oriented skills with a proactive mindsetSolve complex problems efficiently Can explain complex technical details to a non-technical audienceWork effectively both in a team and independently Have knowledge of R2R & R2S printing and coating processes is a plusAre fluent in Dutch and English; French and German is a plus You can expect: Your main work location to be in Genk, Belgium but you will travel within and outside Europe; you will spend approximately 30% of your time abroadThe opportunity to contribute to technological innovations A dynamic and multidisciplinary environment Opportunity for learning and professional developmentA competitive salary with extra-legal benefits If you are interested, please send a motivation letter and your CV.
