Application EngineerLocation: Remote - Washington (Training in Torrance, CA)Salary: $75,000 - $120,000 per yearEmployment Type: Direct HireSchedule: Monday - Friday | 8 AM - 5 PM PST or 7 AM - 4 PM PSTTravel: Up to 15% About the RoleA global leader in advanced manufacturing technology is seeking an Application Engineer to support its Sales team by providing expert technical insights and solutions. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a customer-facing, problem-solving environment and has hands-on experience with machine tool applications. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide remote technical support to customers on machine tool operation and optimization.Analyze part processing requirements and recommend efficient manufacturing solutions.Conduct cycle time studies and cost analyses, including labor and tooling estimates.Develop conceptual work holding and tooling designs for customer applications.Operate and demonstrate machine functions at trade shows and customer events.Lead machine installations, rigging, and setup at various locations.Deliver in-depth customer training on machine operations and capabilities.Execute test cuts and process validation to ensure optimal machine performance.Oversee full turnkey process development, including statistical part analysis.Qualifications & SkillsAssociate's degree or technical certification with 2+ years of machine tool experience, OR 3-5 years in a related role.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.Strong communication skills for engaging with customers, vendors, and internal teams.Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.Hands-on experience in fixture building, tool assembly, and machine leveling.Proficiency with Mazatrol, EIA/G-Code, CAD/CAM, Esprit, Mastercam, or Fusion 360 preferred.Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.Why Join Us?Competitive compensation with a pay range of $75,000 - $120,000, based on experience.Opportunities to work with cutting-edge technology in the machine tool industry.Supportive work environment with professional development and training.Minimal travel (15%) with a flexible remote work structure.Hiring ProcessPhone InterviewVirtual Interview with Hiring ManagerIn-Person Meeting & OfferOnboarding & TrainingIf you're a technical expert passionate about machine tool applications and customer engagement, we'd love to hear from you!All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
