We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically driven Application Engineer to join the Inside Sales Engineering team in Winnipeg, MB. This role is responsible for configuring storage, aeration, and structural equipment solutions while producing approval and fabrication drawings based on customer requirements.The Application Engineer will work closely with Sales, customers, and design teams to ensure technically sound configurations that align with project specifications and operational needs. This position plays a critical role in supporting the quoting process, validating orders, and managing technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, combining strong engineering fundamentals with customer-focused problem solving and attention to detail. This is an opportunity to contribute to customized equipment solutions while supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced engineering and sales environment.Responsibilities Work independently within established design procedures, equipment portfolios and templates to develop project specific equipment designs or configurations meeting customer requirements.Is a resource to the quoting team, to aid in ensuring we are quoting the appropriate equipment to the appropriate applicationReads customer specifications, maintains a customer focus, and verifies integrity of what was quoted, entered on the order, and client expectationsVerifies the integrity of what was quoted, entered on the order, and client expectations are technically sound before beginningCreates and updates engineering calculation tools (and gets peer review completed)Creates parts models (3D) and parts drawings (AUTOCAD) as needed.Communicates details for creation of 3D models and drawings by Application DesignerReviews drawings created by Application Designer to ensure it matches the customer expectations or application requirementResponsible to have drawings peer reviewed prior to sending to sales or the clientResponsible for updating and confirming accuracy of ERP informationTrack changes in equipment designs throughout the approval process and assists with cost impact to support the change order process.Responsible for application related document control, i.e., material handling spreadsheet updates, approval drawing revisions, etc.Provides warranty support related to application issues to Service Manager (technical advice)Travel to jobsites or The Companies manufacturing centers when necessaryProvide training to fellow engineering staffQualities/Skills: Strong mechanical and structural engineering fundamentalsExcellent attention to detail and technical accuracyAbility to interpret customer specifications and translate into engineered solutionsStrong problem-solving and analytical capabilitiesEffective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesCollaborative team player with customer-focused mindsetStrong organizational and documentation management skillsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Structural, Agricultural, or Civil Engineering from an accredited universityRegistered P.Eng. or eligible for Engineer-in-Training (EIT) status preferredExperience using SolidWorks and ability to read engineering drawings (required)Steel and/or aeration design experience preferred (3+ years)Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience working with ERP systems considered an assetAbility to travel to job sites or manufacturing centers as required.What We OfferWhy apply through Brunel?
