The facility caters to the European market which has been steadily growing over the last few years.Click to see our introduction video: DescriptionAs an application engineer in the Habonim EU office, you would work under the instructions of Engineering Team Leader and Senior Application engineer based also in Habonim EU. You will identify customer requirements, translate them into precise engineering specifications, and serve as the primary technical lead for complex quotations and orders.At Habonim, we design and supply high quality ball valves to a wide range of industries. With new challenges in LNG, ammonia and hydrogen production, storage and supply market, the need for well made valves adhering to various international standards is constantly changing and growing. As a part of this role, you understand these markets and the changes. You learn about relevant design standards of API, ISO, DIN etc. You learn about various testing requirements for valves (high pressure tests, impact tests, leakage tests) and for classification societies like ABS, DNV GL, LR, etc. You learn about the various materials used, differences in mechanical properties and chemical compositions and their use case for different applications.With your engineering background and with what you learn here, you help link the customers and outside sales with engineering support and subcontractor management. You would be responsible for the custom projects and would be answerable to questions & clarifications about these projects to nearly everyone involved (customers, sales, engineering, operations and factory). Habonim EU has a growing valve assembly and testing facility, and as a part of the function you might be required to oversee tests and troubleshoot customer complaints related to the engineering of the valves.Responsibilities as a Applications Engineer:-         Support sales team with engineering details and questions.-         Engineering support for clients, inside sales and the outside sales with custom products.-         Communicate technical and quality requirements by building and checking Bill of Design (BOD) and checking Bill of Material (BOM) for custom and non standard products.-         Create engineering designs and drawings occasionally for custom solutions liaising with the engineering team based in Israel. -         Manage design and special/customised products with engineering department in Habonim Israel.-         Manage and generate technical documentation if and when needed.-         Assist field commissioning/troubleshooting if and when needed.Our Offer:-         Competitive salary and a pension-plan based on education and experience.-         25 days of holidays and work from home when needed in-consultation with the manager/team.-         A workphone and a mobile workstation.-         Opportunity to learn from an experienced engineering and sales team.-         A comprehensive growth plan within the company. Qualifications and RequirementsWe are looking for an enthusiastic engineer at a early career level. Ideally you are flexible, adaptive and resilient. You are able to prioritise your tasks based on demands from engineering department, operations, factory, outside sales and customers.  -         Engineering degree (master or bachelor) level – Preferably Mechanical engineering (Energy, Flow and Process Technology)-         Understanding and some preliminary experience with 3D CAD software (preferably Solidworks)-         Meticulous and an eye for detail.-         Open to travel (up to 10%) for training and field service support.  -         Ideally you are happy to talk, meet online, or visit customers when required.-         Fluent in English.
