Application Migration Architect Apply
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Serving as a subject matter expert in cloud migration and Greenfield development of cloud applications
- Leading the successful migration of applications to approved cloud environments to include application code changes, create / update automated unit tests, build and release setup, etc.
- Creating accelerators that accelerate and enable migrations and Greenfield application development on the cloud. Accelerators can include.
- Guidance and knowhow for engineers to follow when migrating / building applications on the cloud
- Tools that automate common cloud tasks migration tasks
- Processes that assist in determining cloud migration complexity and priority
- Ensuring all risk and control objectives are met in conjunction with cloud migrations
- Mentoring both internal C4E cloud engineers and Line-of-business engineers
- Assisting in enabling cloud services and use-cases
- Supporting senior level leaders/executives
- Resolving issues (networking, performance, build, deploy, etc.) that arise when migrating to the cloud.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience building / migrating applications to one of the following Clouds environments with a strong focus on Platform as a Service (PaaS): Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Tanzu Application Service / Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Tanzu Kubernetes Grid
- 10+ years of Application development experience with one or more of the following: Java, .NET, Python, Web Front-end technologies (React, Angular, etc.), ETL and batch process technologies
- 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Application and System Architecture
- 5+ years of experience with one or more of the following Database technologies: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB or similar NoSQL database
- 5+ years of experience working in an agile environment using common agile tools (Jira preferred)
- 1+ years of Containerization experience with a strong preference to Kubernetes
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams
- Design consultation experience at the highest technical level: planning, integration, implementation, scalability, and problem definition
- Experience creating guidance, documentation, tools, and samples for engineers to utilize to accelerate / automate tasks
- Enterprise experience with one or more CI/CD implementation, configuration management, build, and orchestration tools: Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, uDeploy, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Harness IO, Spinnaker, Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with one or more security and code quality scanning tools: SonarQube, Fortify, BlackDuck, Checkmarx, Threadfix, Xray
Desired Qualifications:
- 1+ years of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform
- Cloud Certifications in one or more of the following: Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Kubernetes
