Job Title: Application Security Engineer (US Citizens Only)
Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain application security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Conduct security assessments, including threat modeling, code reviews, and penetration testing on applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and IT, to integrate security into application designs and workflows.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, including security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities within applications.
• Provide guidance and training to development teams on secure coding practices and application security standards.
• Stay updated with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies to continuously improve application security.
• Participate in security audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as an Application Security Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of application security principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Experience with security assessment tools (e.g., SAST, DAST) and secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with web application technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs) and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top Ten).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and propose effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and familiarity with Agile development processes.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CSSLP) are a plus.
• Federal Experience is a plus.
• Required Security clearance.
