Job role: Application Support Analyst
Duration: 6month contract to hire
Location: 3 days onsite Blue Bell, PA
Job Dimensions:
The IT Analyst will report directly to the Manager, Application Development and assist with resolving a variety of application specific end-user support requests which come in via the client ServiceDesk and assist with the development, organization, documentation and monitoring of client systems, policies, process and procedures.
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the support of client global systems via requests from the client ServiceDesk. May include end-user training when necessary.
- Assist with the development of Power BI reports
- Assist with vendor management and procurement responsibilities (review contracts, physically purchasing, etc.).
- Monitor automated reports and policies for organizational compliance (SOX, NIST, backup status reports, departmental statistics, etc.).
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Maintain and update documentation of IT practices and controls.
- Review IT general controls (ITIL or COBIT 5 best practices) for effectiveness.
- Coordinate vendors for IT control risk assessments and ensure the alignment of current processes with client IT policy documents.
- Asist with privacy compliance including GDPR and CCPA.
- Support audit requests but providing appropriate documentation, data and reports needed execute.
- Oversee and enforce IT governance as it pertains to the corporate intranet.
- Other IT Administrative functions as assigned.
Context and Environment:
This job may require travel to other client locations for the purpose of information gathering for data or reporting needs, system configuration, or training. There may also be travel due to industry events. Expectations less than 5%. Will work in office environments, attend meetings on and off site and might tour project areas while escorted by the client or Supervisors for observation purposes.
Required Education/Qualifications /Work Experience:
- 2 Years of IT experience in an Information Technology organization.
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tool.
- College degree (desired) or equivalent work experience in the IT field.
- Basic understanding of ITIL, COBIT 5 or similar framework is required.
- Advanced level of experience working with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel (able to put formulas together, create pivot tables, etc.), Visio, Access, and Project.
- Strong critical thinking and math skills as well as a detail-oriented work ethic.
- Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail with a focus on accomplishing objectives.
- Basic understanding of sampling and monitoring methodology (pull reports off monitoring or reporting tools on a variety of applications).
- Excellent written, communication and documentation skills.
- Work effectively with other members of the client team and provide excellent customer service to end users.
- Previous working experience in a global environment is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
