We are currently hiring a Applications Engineer I for our Sales department. We offer an awesome benefits package, great work environment, and opportunities for advancement!

Hours

Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


· Reviews Sales to Engineering Requests (SER) for complete and accurate information.

· Conducts a thorough review of customer requirements, technical specifications, and engineering drawings.

· Develops chamber concept drawings and specifications to meet application requirements.

· Researches and identifies materials, components and subassemblies required to implement the chamber concept and meet performance requirements.

· Determines and documents material costs.

· Collaborates with production to develop labor hour estimations.

· Manages the design and customization of basic to moderately complex chambers, including performance calculations and support for upgrades and replacement parts with a complexity average of 0-3.

· The target completion goal for Engineering to Sales Replies varies based on complexity, with an average of 15 per month.

· Completes Engineering to Sales Replies (ESR), including performance verification.

· Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.


· Associate’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or 1 year of environmental chamber experience in a technical role is required.

· Bachelor’s degree is preferred.


Skills and Experience

· Demonstrated understanding of basic electrical concepts, including proper wiring practices, power supply needs, and the principles of control system logic is preferred.

· Must have experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, including 2D drafting and/or 3D modeling.

· Must have experience utilizing ERP systems, including experience with managing and maintaining Bill of Materials structures.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email, PowerPoint), is required.

· Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry is required.

· Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations required.
