Job Summary:
The Applications Engineer supports customers, improves the accuracy and efficiency of the quoting process, and bridges the gap between engineering and real‑world manufacturing needs. This role requires an engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working directly with customers, and creating practical engineering solutions that drive production success.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer parts, prints, and requirements to configure engineering solutions that meet performance and manufacturing needs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product development, sales, and service teams to ensure accurate product selection and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare detailed quotes and project evaluations including cycle times, annual volumes, tooling concepts, simulations, and machine specifications.
  • Conduct customer meetings to verify project requirements and present technical solutions.
  • Reverse-engineer customer dies, tooling, or components as needed.
  • Create CAD designs for tooling, machine components, and machine layouts.
  • Support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education/Experience:

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical support, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (SolidWorks PDM experience a plus).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft platforms: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Experience with CNC systems, automation equipment, or manufacturing processes (tooling, dies, stamping, machining, etc.).
  • Experience with GD&T, machine simulations, or cost estimating.
