Position: Storage Administrator

Location: Chevy Chase, MD and Ashburn, VA

Duration: Long term

Job Description

• At least 5 years experience managing enterprise storage systems
• Must have experience administrating DellEMC Powerscale systems (aka Isilon)
  • Creating network fileshares (NFS & SMB)
  • Performing PowerScale storage array operating system (OneFS) updates and firmware upgrades
  • Troubleshooting host connectivity issues and monitoring storage array performance
  • Performing SyncIQ migrations between PowerScale clusters
• Experience managing DellEMC Unity SAN arrays
  • Creating LUNs and provisioning storage to clients
  • Performing array code updates
• Familiarity with NetApp storage arrays
  • Creating network fileshares (NFS & SMB)
  • Performing ONTAP upgrades
  • Metrocluster experience a plus
• Experience managing fibre channel storage area networks (SAN)
  • Creating zones and Inter-Switch Links
  • Performing switch code updates
  • Troubleshooting SAN client connectivity issues
  • Experience with DellEMC Connectrix/Brocade fibre channel SAN switches strongly preferred
• Analyzing storage array performance metrics
• General knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux operating systems (must have command line experience)
  • Ability to troubleshoot host connectivity issues
  • Knowledge of automation technologies such as Red Hat Ansible
  • Scripting experience a plus (Bash, Python, Perl)
• General knowledge of cloud
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure
