Northeast Florida Health Services, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in our community health centers.

Please note: This role is primarily focused on Pediatric care, but experience in adult care is also required, as the provider may occasionally care for adult patients. Some travel may be required.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide autonomous, comprehensive pediatric services to patients, inclusive of all functions necessary to provide quality pediatric care.
  • Demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care for patients within pediatric care.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary medical practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required.
  • Perform within their professional boundaries.
  • Serve as an educational preceptor for the clinical staff including respond to questions/consultations of the staff, plan and teach in-services, follow medical protocols, handouts and clinical standards, assist in expanding the competencies of the clinical staff.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • May provide adult care coverage as needed, based on experience and clinic needs.
  • Occasional travel between clinic sites may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) program with a pediatric specialty
  • Current, unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Florida
  • Eligible for autonomous practice under state scope-of-practice regulations
  • Eligible for or currently holding national board certification in Pediatric Primary Care or Pediatric Specialty
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred, as applicable
  • Maintain active DEA Registration, if applicable
  • Meet all requirements for credentialing and privileging
Preferred:
  • Experience providing pediatric care in community health setting preferred

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
