Arkansas Talent Group is seeking an experienced AR/Collections Manager to lead the accounts receivable and collections function, driving timely payments and supporting healthy cash flow across a large multi-entity/location organization. This role will lead a small team, manage collection strategies, and serve as the go-to expert for escalated customer accounts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compliance-focused, and skilled at balancing assertive collection efforts with strong customer relationship management. This person must have excellent customer service skills and be a supportive leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the collections team through coaching, performance management, and goal setting.
  • Design and execute effective collection policies and strategies to reduce delinquency and improve DSO.
  • Review and analyze aging reports to prioritize collection efforts and mitigate risk.
  • Handle escalated accounts and negotiate payment arrangements on complex or high-value cases.
  • Collaborate with finance, sales, and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes quickly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on collections performance, trends, and risk exposure.
  • Drive process improvement through automation tools and collection management software (NetSuite experience a plus).

What Were Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in collections or accounts receivable management.
  • 2+ years of team leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of collection laws and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and solid command of Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and confident, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
