Trueline’s client, a growing multi state franchise operator with an expanding portfolio of quick service and commercial sites throughout New England, is seeking a Licensed Architect based at their headquarters outside Boston. This full time position blends design and construction oversight for renovations and new construction of food service and retail locations — offering a chance to lead projects from concept through build?out in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. What You’ll Do as the Licensed Architect: Collaborate with the in house design and construction management team to plan and develop new build and renovation projects for restaurant and commercial properties Produce full sets of biddable and buildable construction drawings using AutoCAD and related tools Coordinate with external engineers, consultants, and vendors to integrate structural, MEP and site requirements Ensure compliance with local building, zoning and permitting regulations and handle documentation for municipal approvals Provide construction administration support, including site visits, punch lists, and coordination through project close?out Participate in programmatic design reviews and training sessions with the franchisor and brand stakeholders Must Haves as the Licensed Architect: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited architecture program Active licensure (or on track for full licensure) and NCARB certification or equivalent credential 10–15 years of relevant professional architecture experience, including commercial and/or food service projects Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently Strong contract negotiation, written and verbal communication skills Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between job sites as required Nice to Haves as the Licensed Architect: Prior experience in restaurant or quick service food service design and construction Familiarity with SketchUp, Photoshop, or other 3D modelling/visualization tools Previous involvement in permitting, zoning review, or municipal approvals Comfort working in a hybrid role blending design, project management and field oversight Our Client Offers: Competitive salary in the range of $90,000–$110,000 per year Matching 401(k), health, dental, vision and life insurance, plus flexible spending account Paid time off and access to an employee assistance program Opportunity to grow professionally in a dynamic company managing 100+ locations across multiple states Hands on involvement in all phases of architectural and construction work from concept to completion Trueline and its clients are unabashed equal opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
