Job Title : LAN Based Network Support Engineer Server Configuration (Thick & Thin Clients)

Job Summary
Building a LAN based network to support customer requirements. Given the hardware stack of components, need to install all software and perform all setup operations to enable the system to pass the Factory Acceptance Test audit.

Key Responsibilities

Install assigned customer hardware (Thick and thin clients, switches, root bridges, servers, firewalls, time servers). Load hardware to desks and network rack and wire in accordance with client provided interconnect drawings (fiber, cat 6e, power).
Create the integrated software stack on top of the hardware including but not limited to:
o De-harden and run scripts to perform initial setup of hardware.
o Install multiple layers of software and implement client and 3rd party cybersecurity products.
o Test redundancy, failovers, intrusion detection, proper data flow of protocols through firewalls, etc.
o Create defect/NCN (Non-conforming Notice) logs and follow up with implementation as needed.
Perform customer witness both local and remotely as required for each job and ensure timely delivery of hardware to customer.
Support in the standardization of methods for the global sites, work with Customer s engineering teams to refine the standard work and enable control sites to execute where regionally needed.
Deliverables :
Receive material and track project timelines and schedules to attain on-time delivery for the customer
Ensure all projects are integrated in line with client specification and requirements
Pack and ship projects to end customer once all audits and test are completed, all in accordance with the customer specification

Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of LAN networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP)
Hands-on experience with Windows Server / Linux Server
Experience with Active Directory, GPO, File Server
Knowledge of thin client solutions (Citrix, RDP, VDI, VMware Horizon)
Understanding of thick client OS support (Windows/Linux)
Basic firewall and network security concepts
Knowledge of virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) preferred

Soft Skills
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Good communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and in teams
Willingness to provide on-site and remote support
