Art Layout Specialist – Graphic Design & Inspection

Metalcraft, a 75‑year strong, employee-owned manufacturer is looking for a detail‑driven Art Layout Specialist to join our production art team.

This is hands-on, technical artwork preparation that directly impacts product quality, production efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and review customer artwork and proofs following established procedures
• Clean up and prepare logos for digitizing
• Build production-ready files with high accuracy; attention to detail is a must
• Maintain organized archives and file systems
• Use tools including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Checkmate, Microsoft Excel, Automation Engine, Indigo front-end tools, and Scan Master Designer
• Assist in other trained or cross-trained areas when needed
• Produce high-quality work efficiently to support Metalcraft’s customer commitments
• Perform routine equipment maintenance as required

• Comfortable balancing broad thinking with detailed execution
• Collaborative, flexible, and willing to take on additional projects

• Proficient in computer operations and software, including Adobe products like Illustrator and working knowledge of the Microsoft suite packages.

Graphics arts training or experience is a plus, but not required.
Understanding of layout, design, and color is highly recommended.

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma (English and Math proficiency required)
• Post‑secondary graphic arts training preferred but not required
