This 3rd shift Aseptic Technician I position is responsible for executing department-specific tasks in accordance with all applicable cGMPs and compliant with corporate/site procedures, regulations, and policies. Working Hours: 3rd Shift: Monday - Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM Weekends, rotating every other weekend as needed Fermentation: Grow bacteria following manufacturing directions from start to harvest. Includes starting and passing seed in clean rooms to growing seed vessels and production vessels, along with inactivation of the bacteria. Perform downstream processing, which may include concentrations, homogenization, and centrifugation. This involves working with stationary and portable equipment and steam. Position Responsibilities Execute aseptic techniques and clean room procedures or support area procedures in a GMP facility. Maintain and edit departmental cGMP documentation as appropriate. Execute and lead operations to comply with all written procedures, including batch records and SOPs. Follow and comply with all financial procedures. Follow and comply with all site safety procedures. Identify ways to improve the safety culture of the department. Operate departmental equipment, including setup and takedown; provide oversight as necessary. Work effectively in a team environment and communicate with multiple departments. Follow good GMP practices. Gowning in a clean room is required. Perform aseptic processing skills while working in a clean room setting. Conduct preventive maintenance of seed and production vessels. Maintain accurate inventory. Follow manufacturing directions. Mentor and train colleagues as needed. Provide department oversight as requested, including shift changes and schedule adjustments. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. Post-high school education in sciences or related disciplines preferred. Good mathematical, scientific, and computer skills preferred. Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills required. Strong communication skills required. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods. Ability to wear a respirator. Ability to reach above shoulder level, bend/stoop, push/pull, and handle/grip frequently. Availability to work scheduled 40 hours with overtime as needed. Comfort working in varying temperatures. Frequent lifting and carrying of 5 to 25 lbs. Regular reaching, bending, stooping, and twisting. Repetitive motion involving wrists, hands, and fingers.
