Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Assembler and Test Technician to work on-site with our client, a worldwide designer, manufacturer, and integrator of precision control components company. This onsite role involves precision assembly and testing of complex production and repair actuators in a dynamic environment. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.
Note: Training on the 1st shift for 6 months and then moving to second shift where there will be a 10% shift differential. 1st shift 6am -2:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Perform precision assembly on complex production and repair actuators.
- Adjust and align parts using shimming and other mechanical adjustments specified by blueprints or other specification limits.
- Utilize a variety of mechanical measuring equipment, such as dial indicators, calipers, and other precision tools, to ensure assembly meets specifications.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy on assemblies by using torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling, gauges, and other measuring devices.
- Follow detailed written and oral assembly instructions.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Ability to perform precision assembly tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience working with mechanical measuring equipment (e.g., dial indicators, calipers, gauges).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Knowledge of dimensional tolerances and adjustment techniques such as shimming.
- Ability to work independently and follow both written and oral instructions.
- Must have access to and be eligible to work with US export-controlled information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in actuator assembly or similar roles in the aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with torque wrenches, fixtures, and other assembly tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working in a fast-paced environment.
