Job Title: Assembler II
Work Location: Dubois Pennsylvania 15801
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM 6:00 PM
Duration: 6 months
Schedule: 2-2-3 rotation schedule (work two days, off two days, work three days, then rotate)
Description:
- PPE Requirements: Steel-toe shoes required; eye and ear protection provided by client and must be worn at all times
- Experience Level: Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply; training will be provided
Potential Conversion: Likely to convert to FT
Position Summary:
- We are seeking motivated individuals for an entry-level role working with gas meters.
- This position requires reliability, attention to safety, and the ability to perform physical tasks over extended periods.
Core Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
- Successfully completes all site-specific training regarding safety and quality.
- Receives components or items for assembly and/or test in programmed sequence.
- Assembles and/or tests mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination.
- May assemble minor variations of in-house standard products.
- Follows clear assembly/test instructions, e.g. color code, pvc thermal welding and thread taping. Uses simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures.
- Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently ShopVue)
- Completes required documentation related to production.
- Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.
- Reads and understands simple layout and assembly drawings.
- Maintains equipment and area in clean safe condition.
- Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations.
Position Requirements Formal Education:
Required: High School Diploma or GED.
Knowledge & Experience:
Required: Mechanical aptitude as evidenced by work experience, high school/tech school coursework, hobbies, etc.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for up to 12 hours per shift
- Capable of performing hands-on tasks and manual labor safely and efficiently
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
- Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
- May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
- May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
- Work surfaces may include concrete. Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
