Job Summary:

As part of the Operations team, our Assembly & Test Technician has an impact in ensuring quality and performance before our customers receive their products. All roles at Teledyne FLIR require great teamwork and a passion for getting things done the right way. We work smart and hard by solving problems and making sure the solution works for all stakeholders.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
    \n
  • Assemble and dis-assemble electrical and mechanical components and systems as required
  • \n
  • Test electrical and mechanical components and systems
  • \n
  • Collaborate with other functional teams during New Product Introduction builds
  • \n
  • Provide feedback to engineering and operations regarding first time assemblies
  • \n
  • Complete repair on assemblies that have failed during one of the post-assembly tests
  • \n
  • Assist in product validation
  • \n
  • Provide hands-on training to other Production Operators
  • \n
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Kaizen
  • \n
  • Maintain 5S of your work area
  • \n
  • Other duties as assigned
  • \n

Job Qualifications:
    \n
  • High School Degree/GED required, Associates Degree a plus
  • \n
  • 2+ years of experience in general electronics assembly required
  • \n
  • Ability to understand assembly instructions and technical documentation
  • \n
  • Familiarity with hand assembly tools
  • \n
  • Experience with wiring assemblies preferred
  • \n
  • Basic assembly troubleshooting skills required
  • \n
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing concepts (5S, 8 Wastes, Kaizen, Standardized Work) a plus
  • \n
\n

Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
