This position, covered by the Collective Agreement, is a key function in the assembly and manufacturer of MCI coaches. In this role you will install, assemble and test an assortment of coach components within the company set Takt time. Throughout all aspects of this role you will promote a safe working environment and comply with all HS&E regulations including following all Plant and Plant Safety rules.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Install, assemble and test various coach components while promoting a safe working environment.
- Responsible for using various hand, air and power tools including but not limited to drills, impact guns, grinders, sanders and torque wrenches
- Responsible for following all work instructions and reading blueprints where applicable
- Any other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Read and understand work instructions, interpret blue prints or drawings, previous manufacturing experience considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of shop floor safety.
