Asset Inventory Specialist Apply
The Asset Inventory Specialist is responsible for overseeing the tracking, management, and control of company assets, ensuring accurate and efficient recording of physical assets such as equipment, machinery, materials, and technology. This role involves maintaining detailed records of assets, managing asset lifecycle processes, performing material audits, and collaborating with various departments to ensure compliance and proper use of company resources.
- Manage Technology Assets: Track, monitor, and document the usage, condition, and location of all technology-related assets (e.g., computers, tablets, GPS devices, communication tools, hotspots).
- Oversee Material Inventory: Maintain accurate records of all job materials, including equipment, tools, and job specific materials. Ensure proper stock levels to meet project requirements.
- Asset Tagging and Labeling: Ensure all assets, both technology and materials, are properly tagged and labeled for easy identification and tracking in the inventory management system.
- Coordinate Asset Allocation: Work with managers and supervisors to allocate technology and materials to the appropriate construction sites, ensuring timely delivery and reducing downtime.
- Optimize Inventory Levels: Monitor stock levels of materials and consumables to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained, avoiding shortages or overstocking that could impact project timelines.
- Support Cost Control: Work closely with the accounting team to assist with purchasing decisions for technology and materials, ensuring that assets are aligned with project needs and budgets.
- Implement Asset Tracking Systems: Utilize and maintain asset management software and inventory systems to ensure real-time tracking and visibility of both technology and materials across all construction sites.
- Schedule Material Pick Ups: Manage the movement and transfer of materials between different projects.
- Setup and Configure Technology Devices: Setting up, configuring, and deploying phones, computers, and tablets for new hires or employees receiving new assignments. This includes installing necessary software and ensuring all devices are fully operational before handover to employees.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external teams.
- Excellent computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Etc).
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tracking assets and maintaining inventory records.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree preferred or three years of relevant work experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required.
