Asset Management Specialist Apply
Job Description
Responsible for tracking 20,000 desktops/laptops in ServiceNow. Responsibilities include working in a IT warehouse environment to enforce tracking of equipment entering and leaving, updating asset status in ServiceNow, investigating lost assets, reconciling, using Excel, asset data from sources like Active Directory and Microsoft SCCM/MECM.
The Asset Management Specialist is responsible for creating, configuring and maintaining the tools, mechanisms and processes required for managing these assets. The IT Asset Manager manages, controls, and protects the organization's IT assets (i.e., hardware) throughout their life cycle, from acquisition through final disposition. In addition, the IT Asset Manager designs, develops, and implements the organization's asset management strategy.
Job Responsibilities:
* Design and execute asset management policies, procedures and processes.
* Coordinate with management in utilizing the asset management tools to analyze, review and track asset data.
* Develop asset control processes to monitor accountability identification, maintenance, location and contracts.
* Manage asset reconciliation and asset disposal agreements.
* May manage support and maintenance reviews and renewals and\\\\or support modifications to agreements for the organization.
* Maintains hardware and software data on assets from acquisition to disposal.
* Degree or equivalent work experience required
* Asset Management experience with an understanding of ITAM best practices is required.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
* Monitor software licenses to ensure they comply with license agreements and usage standards.
* Collaborate with management to define cost savings, asset compliances and service improvements.
* Prepare and manage IT asset capital and expense budgets.
* Manage and maintain Digital Asset Management system.
* Ensure the cataloguing process is shared to maintain best practices.
* Provide training and support.
* Recommend process improvements.
* Support the execution of creative projects.
