Alternative Capital Markets (ACM)
Alternative Capital Markets is a global team with 80+ alternative investment professionals across 14 offices (New York, Albany, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Salt Lake City, London, Dubai, Bengaluru, Zurich, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shanghai), responsible for over $120B+ in AUS, serving institutions, foundations, family offices, high net worth and ultra‑high net worth individuals. ACM is the architect of the Wealth Alternatives platform including private equity, growth / venture capital, private credit, private real estate, hedge funds, co‑investments and impact private investing. These offerings include AM Private, XIG, and third‑party external investment strategies, as well as differentiated private company access via both internal and external referrals. ACM’s full‑service capital markets business covers the entire lifecycle of an alternative investment, from investment sourcing to client solutions, as well as a new discretionary offering enabling programmatic platform access, an in‑house liquidity platform for clients (qualified matching service, or QMS), and dedicated platform management and strategy.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
Help establish and manage GS ACM relationships with external managers, including new product development and coordination of external sales professionals, as well as source, diligence and originate new alternative investment offerings to meet client demand and address current market opportunities.
Serve as an alternative investment strategist, helping establish GS Wealth house view on current private market trends / opportunities and providing insight to clients and internal GS constituents.
Help provide input on ACM sales strategy across client segments, advising on growth strategies for new offerings / solutions, and develop segment‑specific fundraising strategies.
Help lead marketing of alternative investment offerings for buyout across GS client segments and regions including managing overall fundraising activity, developing marketing collateral / strategy pitch and engaging advisors / clients by organizing road shows / events / campaigns.
Lead client portfolio reviews, including alternative portfolio analysis / implementation guidance, as well as provide performance attribution and fund commentary.
Help drive education of alternative investment themes and portfolio implementation for all GS client segments and regions by coordinating across ACM, GS CIO, GS investment teams and external managers to provide best‑in‑class thought leadership.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
Deep understanding of financial markets and investment instruments
3+ years experience in wealth management, asset management, investment banking, or private equity
Strong quantitative, analytical and problem‑solving skills
Team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Sophisticated and tactful client manager who can effectively manage the entire investor lifecycle
Strong ability to multi‑task, with an ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlines
Self‑starter, with ability to work both independently and in a team‑oriented environment and across group functions
Solid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detail
SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 (must be obtained within 3 months)

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States‑based position is $85,000-$160,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year‑end.
