The Assistant Athletic Director for Academics & Head Men’s Soccer Coach is responsible for providing leadership, organization and administration of the Men’s program

Through its School of Professional and Continuing Studies, the University extends its primary undergraduate mission by offering high quality graduate studies in business, education and nursing and an array of undergraduate and certificate programs serving non-traditional students. The Coach is responsible for providing leadership, organization and administration of the men's soccer program.

Responsibilities:

Head Men’s Soccer Coach

  • Foster a positive and supportive environment that prioritizes the well-being and development of student-athletes.
  • Collaborate with Athletic Administration and Support Staff to promote the program’s growth and success.
  • Design and implement effective recruiting strategies to meet goals established by the Athletic Director.
  • Achieve roster size targets as set by the Athletic Director.
  • Utilize Athletic Department-provided recruiting software to streamline recruitment processes.
  • Coach student-athletes in all aspects of the sport, including practice planning, game strategies, skill development, communication, teamwork, and leadership.
  • Oversee game preparation and practice scheduling.
  • Coordinate non-conference game scheduling in partnership with the Associate Athletic Director.
  • Monitor and support student-athletes in meeting academic requirements and maintaining team academic standards.
  • Enforce team standards of conduct and performance both on and off the field.
  • Manage and track team uniforms, gear, and equipment inventory.
  • Recruit, hire, and oversee part-time assistant coaches.
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA, Skyline Conference, and UMSV regulations and policies.
  • Contribute to game management responsibilities as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Assistant Athletic Director for Academics

  • Collaborate with the Academic Resource Center to support student-athletes’ academic success.
  • Develop and maintain Athletic Department academic policies, procedures, and standards in coordination with Head Coaches and Administrators.
  • Attend team academic meetings to communicate and reinforce department academic expectations.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and regular academic performance reports to designated coaches and staff.
  • Utilize the EAB Navigate platform to enhance academic oversight and student-athlete support.
  • Coordinate and oversee team study hall sessions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Head Coach at the collegiate level or 5 years as an Assistant Coach at the collegiate level.
  • Comprehensive understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated administrative capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.

The allotted salary range is $65,000 - $68,000
