Salary: $18.98 - $23.06 Hourly Location : Torrance, CA Job Type: Permanent Part-time Job Number: 24039015 Department: General Services Division: GS Facility Operations Opening Date: 03/13/2024 Closing Date: Continuous DESCRIPTION Position: Under the supervision of the Center Manager, the Assistant Booking Manager performs a variety of tasks in support of the promotional and marketing aspects of the Torrance Cultural Arts Center (TCAC) including promotions of special events, web and social media content creation and management; performs other duties as assigned. The Assistant Booking Manager is an at-will, part-time position. Example of Duties: Creating content, monitoring, and responding across social media for TCAC. Managing TCAC digital advertising. Offering promotional assistance for TCAC users. Create engaging social media content (i.e. graphics, videos, GIFs, etc.) that align with the Torrance Cultural Arts Center's values. Must be skilled at driving engagement with social media posts. Coordinates rental activities with the TCAC Senior Business Manager, Booking Manager, and Operations Chief, and acts as a liaison to the public. Manage content calendar. Giving Tours of facilities and fielding inquiries from the public. Managing print advertising for Cultural Arts Center. Monitor post performance and analytics. QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES Any combination of education and experience that would have provided the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and skills would be: Education and Experience One (1) year of paid experience in a related field. Experience with basic video editing Experience driving engagement and content creation for a brand Knowledge of: Marketing, advertising and public relations; Principles, practices and techniques of internet content, usability, page design, and writing; Standard office practices and procedures including business correspondence, filing, and standard office equipment operation; Knowledge and experience working with Social Media (i.e. Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Yelp); Computer applications such as Microsoft Office. Ability to: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with city employees, corporate users and the general public; Design, coordinate, and implement effective marketing projects; Speak logically and knowledgeably to individuals and groups; Plan, organize, and complete multiple projects in order to meet program and deadlines; Brainstorm and research ideas for original content; Establish and maintain programs and relationships that are pleasing and effective with the public; Analyze and report on social media and marketing KPIs; Prepare and present information in a clear, concise, and informative manner; Self-manage on day-to-day responsibilities.
