Assistant Controller

Job Description Directs CONUS accounting operations, business processes, and regulatory directives following enterprise standards and objectives. Job Grade 5 Job Tier 3 Career Area Financial Management Supervisor Yes Job Qualifications Ten (10) years of accounting experience and college level education, that includes a minimum of 24 semester hours in accounting or auditing, or a certificate as Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor, obtained through written examination, plus the completion of the Financial Management Training Program (FMT). Or Bachelors degree in accounting; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting and eight (8) years of experience. Reports to VP Controller 5E. Major Duties Oversees the recording of financial transactions for CONUS finance and accounting operations. Ensures the establishment and adherence to internal controls and general accounting principles (GAAP). Manages cash and sales, inventory, account reconciliation, and finance audits. Ensures accurate and timely remission of payables. Manages the review of enterprise financial processes and directs the implementation of improvements. Performs other duties as assigned.
