This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role within a vertically integrated firm where accounting plays a central role in driving strategic decisions.You’ll work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams across acquisitions, development, and asset management—gaining exposure well beyond traditional accounting.### What you’ll be doingLead accounting for a diverse portfolio of operating properties, development projects, and joint venturesManage and develop a high-performing accounting teamOwn the close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong controlsReview financials, general ledger activity, and reconciliations across multiple entitiesPlay a key role in evaluating transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing activityInterpret complex agreements (PSAs, loan docs, leases) and assess financial impactIdentify risks and implement practical, scalable solutionsOversee preparation of property-level and consolidated financial reportingReview variance analyses and provide insights into asset performanceEnsure proper lease accounting and CAM/tax reconciliation accuracySupport budgeting, forecasting, and long-term business planningMaintain strong internal controls and oversee audit processes (internal, external, and lender)Oversee cash management, capital calls, and investor funding processes### Monitor lender compliance and debt covenantsSupport accounting for active development projects, including draws and cost trackingPartner closely with development and asset management teams on project economics and cash flowCollaborate with investments, development, leasing, and operations teams### Contribute to investor and lender reportingPlay an active role in strategic initiatives and portfolio performance discussions### CPA required6–10 years of progressive experience, including commercial real estate accountingStrong experience across property, partnership, and development accountingBackground in public accounting is a plusExperience with Yardi or similar real estate systems preferredProven ability to lead teams and operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
