Job Summary

The Assistant Director for Cultural and Social Justice Programming is primarily responsible for

  • Proactive programming: Developing and implementing social and collaborative programs in the areas of antiracism, equity, and justice and supporting assessment of these programs.
  • Responsive programming: Developing, implementing, and supporting the assessment of programs that are responsive to student priorities, institutional values, and local/national/global events that impact student’s identity, belonging, and humanity.
  • Partnerships: Cultivating cross-campus and community partnerships to support program development.
  • Ad hoc Advisement: Serving as a liaison advisor to culturally based organizations.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$47,000 - $50,000 annual, combined with an excellent benefit package

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree
  • One or more of the following:
    a. Two or more years of professional experience in antiracism, equity, inclusion, and justice programming that advocates and programs for historically minoritized student populations.
    b. Master's or equivalent degree in Student Affairs, Student Personnel, Education, Social Work, Ethnic or Women’s Studies, or similar field.

Work Hours

Core Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday; some evenings and weekends

Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
  • Remain at a workstation for extended periods.
  • Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
  • Lift and move up to 50 lbs. of materials using a cart.

If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score.
