Assistant General Manager – Upscale Full-Service Restaurant
$80,000 + Bonus

The Role:
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for assisting in all restaurant operations. Primary duties include:
- Support the General Manager in overseeing all daily restaurant operations and ensuring a smooth, high-quality guest experience
- Hire, train, coach, and develop team members while fostering a positive, accountable, and service-driven culture
- Create and manage staff schedules to align with business levels and operational needs
- Lead by example on the floor, delivering exceptional hospitality and resolving guest concerns with professionalism and care
- Drive sales through community outreach, local relationship-building, special events, and consistent guest engagement
- Oversee and support private events and large-format buyouts, ensuring seamless execution and memorable experiences
- Maintain compliance with company policies, liquor regulations, health and safety standards, and all applicable state and local laws
- Manage high-volume service with composure and sound judgment, balancing competing priorities while ensuring guests leave feeling cared for and satisfied
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as an Assistant General Manager for a $7M+ upscale, full-service restaurant with bar
- Proven leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant environment, with the ability to motivate teams, uphold service standards, and lead effectively under pressure
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting
- Calm, confident, and solutions-oriented, with sound judgment and the ability to handle guest issues and operational challenges with professionalism
- Hands-on understanding of restaurant Standard Operating Procedures, compliance, and day-to-day execution, paired with a positive, charismatic, and growth-minded approach to leadership
