Position Summary This position is a staff member of the Edinburgh USA Golf professional team with the knowledge of systems and operation who will provide general administrative and pro services support to the Golf Manager. NOTE: This job posting will be open until all positions are filled. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process daily cash, gift cards, member charges and credit card transactions Assist with merchandising in the golf shop; setting displays, changing displays, keeping merchandise clean and neat and providing technical information to customers about products Assist with the supervision of facility Assist with training new employees on the tee reservation and point of sale software systems Ensure communications and the changes are consistent for all staff who work varying schedules Respond to customer inquiries and concerns and/or work with Golf Manager to ensure appropriate resolution Other duties as apparent or assigned Minimum and Desired Qualifications Education No education requirement Experience Two (2) years of experience working at a golf facility that includes teaching the game of golf Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to determine priorities and work independently with minimal supervision/direction Ability to exercise good judgment to solve problems in compliance with established policies, procedures, and practices Ability to develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with internal and external customers Ability to provide effective written and verbal communications Ability to introduce the game of golf to all skill levels, backgrounds and ages Ability to teach the game of golf with patience and skill, and organize league play Proven ability and demonstrated commitment to an inclusive workplace related to racial equity, diversity and inclusion. Ability to provide a level of customer service that meets/exceeds customer expectations Embrace and engage in cultural shift toward Continuous Improvement Desired Qualifications Four (4) year degree in Golf Management Have begun or finished the process of becoming a member of the PGA of America Previous experience working at a high-end public golf course, preferably at a variety of facilities Previous experience providing exceptional customer service Previous experience providing employee training in a sports environment Previous experience teaching the game of golf to students at a variety of age groups Fluency in Spanish, Hmong, Russian, Somali, Laotian or Vietnamese language(s) Ability and focus to help Golf Manager execute a Golf Strategic Plan each year Fluency in Spanish, Hmong, Russian, Somali, Laotian or Vietnamese language(s) Background Check The City has determined that a criminal background check and/or qualifications check may be necessary for certain positions with this job title. The majority of the hours worked will be during the months of March through December, but may include assigned hours in January and February.
