Are you a passionate culinary professional with strong leadership skills and a knack for scratch kitchen operations management? A local specialty full-service restaurant is looking for someone to join their team as an Assistant Kitchen Manager. Use your expertise to deliver exceptional dining experiences and contribute to their kitchen's success.

- Support the Head Chef and Kitchen Manager in daily kitchen operations and management.

- Assist in planning and executing menu items while maintaining high food quality and presentation standards.

- Supervise and train kitchen staff, emphasizing proper cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation protocols.

- Manage kitchen inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment of ingredients and supplies.

- Empower the kitchen team by fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and growth.

- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.

- Oversee food preparation processes and ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.

- Contribute to cost control efforts by minimizing food waste and optimizing ingredient usage.

- Assist in scheduling kitchen staff to maximize efficiency while maintaining labor budgets.

- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an assistant kitchen manager or sous chef within a scratch kitchen environment.

- No more than 2 employers in the last 5 years or 3 in the last 9 years. (Exceptions for closed or sold restaurants).

- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and train a diverse team.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-stress situations effectively.

- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Self-motivation.

- Ability to oversee inventory control and perform basic financial tasks.

- Proficiency with kitchen equipment and restaurant management software.

- Creative ability to work with the community and build sales.

- Knowledge of finances, budgetting, and accounting within restaurants.
