Partnering closely with the Store Manager, you will help drive sales performance, maintain operational excellence, and support the hiring, onboarding, and development of store associates.Summary of Key ResponsibilitiesStore Operations & PerformanceSupport daily store operations to ensure sales goals, customer experience standards, and operational expectations are consistently metMonitor sales activity and provide guidance to associates to deliver excellent customer serviceAssist with inventory control, inventory transactions, and shrink prevention effortsEnsure compliance with Citi Trends policies, procedures, and operational standardsTeam Leadership & StaffingSupervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer serviceAssist the Store Manager with hiring and recruiting activities, including candidate screening, interviews, onboarding, and training supportHelp maintain appropriate staffing levels by supporting recruiting efforts and employee retentionProvide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support to associatesCustomer Experience & ComplianceMaintain a safe, organized, and customer-focused store environmentReinforce adherence to company policies, procedures, and loss prevention standardsSupport consistent execution of merchandising, operational, and visual standardsPerform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support store operations and business needs.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required24 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role35 years of overall retail experience preferredStrong communication, organizational, and people leadership skillsAbility to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekendsAbility to perform basic math calculations, including percentagesKey CompetenciesPeople Leadership & Team DevelopmentHiring & Recruiting SupportCustomer-Focused ExecutionOperational AccountabilityTime Management & PrioritizationAdaptability in a Fast-Paced Retail EnvironmentWhy Join Citi TrendsCiti Trends is a great place to build a fun and rewarding career in retail management.
