ASSISTANT BRAND MANAGER, BURBERRY FRAGRANCE
New York, NY (hybrid)

We’re looking for a motivated Assistant Brand Manager with a hands-on mentality to join the Luxury US Burberry Fragrance team.
This role will report to the Brand Manager and is integral part of the execution of short and long-term brand priorities.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual looking to gain experience and exposure working for an iconic brand.
This individual will act as the brand guardian in the US and make business recommendations relevant to the business.


This role will be in compliant to Coty’s Omni working schedule (hybrid model) with office in the iconic Empire State Building, NYC.


MARKETING STRATEGY
Assist in the development and execution of marketing plans for the US to reach SOM, sales and financial targets defined for the brand
Flawless launch execution including 360 touchpoints of media and trade campaigns
Assist in management of the brand portfolio
Create and deliver retailer presentations to obtain their buy-in as needed in partnership with Sell-in teams
Partner with cross-functional departments to ensure successful delivery of local market needs and effectiveness of marketing programs
Manage communication and alignment of promotional/non-promotional programs
Work in close partnership with Global Marketing teams to support development of long-term strategic direction including innovation pipeline
Input to cross-functional initiative meetings.

Collaborate on influencer strategy with in-house Influencer Team.

Media: Assist in the management of media planning process & asset development for the portfolio.

Adhoc analysis such as: portfolio/brands performance analysis and specific programs deep-dive, consumer trends, consumer insights, category dynamics and competitive knowledge

SKU MANAGEMENT
Manage & support all forecasting (saleable and non-saleable items): enter forecast in system for initiatives based on benchmark, fragrance trends and retailer feedback.
Update forecast as needed.

Work with Demand Planning and Sales Operations teams to ensure accuracy in forecasts and calendarization of saleable and promotional items in order to achieve quarterly profit targets.

Provide SKU logistics information to cross-functional teams as requested.


MERCHANDISING (ONLINE, BRICK AND MOTAR)
Work with local and global merchandising teams on strategy as well as instore and online execution.

Ensure brand cohesiveness across all brick & mortar doors despite customization by channel as well as online.

Ensure brand guidelines are respected in all instore merchandising executions (permanent and temporary) as well as online.

Create, & review all planograms.


BRAND EXECUTION
Ensure perfect in-store and online execution of the brand.

Enable the field sales and education teams for engaging fragrance instore events.

Monitor online stores and B&M stores on a regular basis (following company’s health and safety guidelines).

Update sell books

COMMERCIAL STRATEGY

Plan trade activations with sales (sell-in, sell-thru teams) and channel strategy teams
Create and update retailer presentations as required.
Work closely with channel and global team to provide lab samples and comps for seasonal retailer meetings
Present novelties and brand strategy to business partners.

Collaborate on E-commerce strategy (retailer.
com, pure players)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to comply with Company’s Omni work schedule.

Bachelor’s degree is required.
MBA is preferred.

3+ years relevant work experience in luxury fragrance landscape.

Ideal candidate would have luxury fragrance expertise and knowledge of navigating with a license is a plus.

Detail-oriented, ability to execute tasks with unprompted follow-up
Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
MS Office Proficiency (specifically Excel and PowerPoint)

DESIRABLE:
NPD & data analytics skills
Focus on results and tenacity to get things done on time and on budget despite internal and external obstacles
Proactivity and start-up mindset: ability to move, propose new ideas and take actions before asked
Meticulously organized with the ability to wear multiple thinking hats and have an innate curiosity
