Schedule will be set within standard operational working hours Mon-Fri from 8am-5pm. Open to work weekends & off-hour events if available.***Travel Requirement***: Event travel and attendance at staff meetings & trainings is required. During event competition season (October through May), the event operations team travels on weekends which includes overnight stays. The role is open to work 2-3 weekends per month if available.Overtime will be paid accordingly. Travel expenses will be paid via PerDiem. Some local events under 200 miles, mileage will be reimbursed.Base Pay Rate: $18.00 an hourHow You Will Make An ImpactThe Assistant Operational Support is an important member of our Varsity All Star Operations Team, providing support to the members of this department and executing additional job functions. This person should be extremely organized, able to multi-task, and project oriented.The Assistant Operational Support will represent Varsity Brands by demonstration of company core values in driving the highest ethical standards of conduct in all business activities.What You Will Do Assist Event Coordinators with the organization of event details. Assist Event Planners as they work with Event Coordinators. Assist Production Coordinators with event preparation and equipment management. Assist Logistics Coordinators with inventory, transportation, supply chain processes. Assist Registration with customer service and data entry. General clerical work and office management tasks. Serve in a support role at events. Receiving, picking, sorting, and labeling orders. Pack, fold, and arrange garments. Scanning shipping orders, and inputting into inventory system.QualificationsKnowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Ability to problem solve under pressure. Familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suites. High level of customer service acumen. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with various stakeholders. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Education/ Experience Prior experience in cheer/dance industry a plus.Physical RequirementsThis job operates in a professional office, warehouse, and event environment.In the office, this is largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. Ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PCs, laptop, and telephone will be required. In the warehouse, physically demanding work may be required. The ability to often lift heavy items is essential.During events, the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time (five hours plus) is required. The ability to communicate with customers and colleagues using the following but not limited to radio, walkie talkie, text message, and email is required.
