We are currently seeking candidates for an Assistant Plant Manager position at our Flemingsburg, KY location. This position reports to the Plant Manager and will manage the day to day operations of this location. The Assistant Plant Manager is accountable for all production related activities within the facility (safety, P&L, product quality, staff training/development, LEAN, etc). Either directly or through assigned staff, this position ensures the manufacture, warehousing and delivery or pick up of product within established quality guidelines, customer expectations and regulatory requirements. This position actively leads and supports our safety program, lean initiatives and other strategic goals and has P&L responsibilities, including the development of the annual budget and capital expenditures plans for the location. The qualified applicant will possess a college degree or equivalent experience, will have 3 or more years of progressive experience in managing a feed mill, will be skilled in motivating staff through good communication and leadership skills, will have solid computer skills and experience in a LEAN manufacturing environment. Ability to communicate effectively with a large dealer base, sales managers and sales staff is required.
