Florida A&M University's College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is proud to theacceptance of qualified applications forthe position of Assistant Professor at the Central Florida Pharmacy Practice Center inTampa. Thisis a a 12 month, full-time faculty position.



Responsibilities

The faculty member will maintainactive didactic and experiential teaching assignments and College service commensurate with rank and experience; Didactic teachingassignments will reflect the professional expertise of the faculty member and may include integrated therapeutics lectures, clinicalpatient- and physical assessment techniques in pharmacy skills courses, and application of knowledge in a small classroom environment;Clinical practice and experiential teaching will be coordinated with an established medical partner of the College, and Allow the faculty toprovide direct patient care services in an institutional setting.
Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining a clinicalpractice in General Medicine with an established partner of the College; Provide experiential education opportunities In General Medicinefor fourth professional-year PharmD students; Develop and deliver high-level, engaging didactic lessons within assigned courses; Coordinateand manage the deployment of required and elective courses as assigned; Develop partnerships with local organization leaders and preceptors;Enhance, maintain, and secure experiential training sites; Attend/participate in Division of Pharmacy Practice meetings and other committeemeetings as assigned; Advise pharmacy students as assigned; Perform teaching responsibilities as assigned by Pharmacy Practice DivisionDirector; and Engage in scholarly activity relevant to their practice and teachingassignments.


Minimum Qualifications

Thequalified candidate will be expected to firmly commit to innovative teaching, research, and service.Candidates must have earned a Pharm.D,PGY1 residency training or comparable experience >=5 years;Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Florida; Preferencewill be given to candidates with the following backgrounds or credentials: teaching, board certification, research and grant writing,hospital practice with an experience in oncology, clinical pharmacokinetics and pharmacogenomics, and/or critical care/cardiology practicesettings.

Successful candidate is subject to a pre-employment screening which includes a review ofcriminal records, reference checks and verification of education. An official college transcript, a high school diploma, or othereducational documents must be submitted, where applicable, at the time of employment.

Only United States (U.S.) citizensor aliens who have a legal right to work in the U.S. are eligible for employment. Federal law requires proof of your authorization to workin the United States. You will be required to provide proof of your identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days ofemployment.
